Tomar and Zêzere River Beach

80 euros

One day tourism tour with private guide. The morning is spent touring the historic center of Tomar, city of the Templar Knights, where we will visit the oldest synagogue in the Iberian Peninsula and the Convent of Christ, century XII monument, classified World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After lunch, we went to the dam of Castelo de Bode, at the river Zêzere, and to the Aldeia do Mato, a quiet village in the municipality of Abrantes, right on the edge of the river. There is in place a river beach with lifeguard and floating pools with a wooden deck where you can extend your towel. Alternatively, you can settle down in the river, next to the pine forest. Then choose to swim in the pure waters of the Zêzere, canoe, eat some delicious snacks at the snack bar or simply sunbathing. Take a deep breath and soak up the fresh air. Listen to the chirping of birds. We shall be surrounded by forest and water. From time to time one can see wild ducks, crows and birds of prey. On site there are beach facilities with bathrooms where you can change clothes. Back in the late afternoon.
